We'll start in a vibrant European capital Ljubljana and head off to the Julian Alps for an amazing 3-day hiking venture. Some downtime and a swim at the stunning Lakes Bled & Bohinj will bring our strengths back before continuing to the magical Soca Valley, the home of white water adventure sports and mesmerizing views. We'll conclude this adventure in the Goriska Brda wine hills with some first-class local food and wine.

Wandelen

You must have a reasonable fitness level and have some hiking experience to fully enjoy this tour. Expect to walk 5-7 hours per day, with 10-15 km in distance and up to 1000 m of elevation gain on the hardest day. The trails are uneven, sometimes rocky and narrow. We'll need to overcome several steep sections on the uphills as well as on the downhills.

Accommodatie

We’ll stay in selected nice and centrally located 3 star hotels, in double or single rooms with en-suite bathrooms. While on the multi-day hike we'll spend two nights in mountain huts. The huts have normal flush toilets, running drinking water and even hot showers. Expect to share a room, toilets and washrooms. Rooms have from 4 to 12 beds.

A 4-day self-guided hiking tour. Follow the less-hiked footpaths to reach the high alpine terrain of the Julian Alps. Climb Mt. Kanjavec, one of the highest mountains in Slovenia, and descend through the stunning Seven Triglav Lakes valley.

You'll hike through vast spruce forests and mountain pastures where fresh dairy products are still produced by hand to enter the rocky and rough terrain of the central Julian Alps, with Mt. Triglav just a stone's throw away. Cross the lunar-surface-like Hribarice Plateau and admire the pristine lakes of the Seven Triglav Lakes Valley before reaching the Vogel Ski Resort and taking the cable car down to Lake Bohinj.

Accommodatie

You'll spend the nights in alpine huts which are somewhat basic, but they offer everything a hiker needs: authentic mountain food & drinks and warm beds. The huts on this hiking route have normal flush toilets, running drinking water and hot showers. Rooms have from 4 to 12 beds, toilets and washrooms are shared.
